I went blueberry picking with a friend today at a local farm. I had a great time picking and nibbling berries with my friend's kiddos while trying to fill our baskets.
I came home with a full basket of blueberries, a basket of cherry/grape tomatoes, an apple cider slushie and two freshly baked apple cider donuts (for Mr. Lemon ... if they can last until he gets home) all for under $10!
My brother and sister -in- law are coming to stay with us for the weekend so I made blueberry coffeecake- it is my brother's favorite! This coffeecake is delicious! I use my mom's recipe with a crunchy, sugary topping... soooooo good. I didn't have enough milk so I used heavy whipping cream instead and it became dense and a bit gooey like a cheesecake- yumola!
Look what arrived while I was baking- my Ikea catalog! (Yes my mailbox is in my door.)
